How could the Legion have begun in 1857 and been disbanded in 1856? Historian932 (talk) 13:03, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Currency?

Why would british recruiting work with Dollars ($)??? Maybe you meant Shillings (5 pence or 1/20th Pound), which would work with the traditional name of the hiring bonus for conscripted soldiers as "the King's shilling", the taking of which meant you had agreed to the contract. But these are never abbreviated using $! Please recheck and correct! --5.146.47.75 (talk) 10:00, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
