Kitty IV is the fictional ship used in the Micheal Morpurgo book Alone on a Wide, Wide Sea. Made by Arthur Hobhouse (in the book), Kitty IV was made to sail the seas, and ultimately, find Arthur Hobhouse's missing sister, Kitty Hobhouse. In the book, Allie Hobhouse (Arthur Hobhouse's son) did successfully find Arthur's missing sister, if not accompanied by an albatross, until she accidentally kills the albatross, as it gets caught in a fishing line behind the boat.
