I'm a collector of historic military vehicles and related period documentation.

I've been a long term volunteer with a major UK war museum, restoring and demonstrating vehicles for the public.

I have a particular interest in British and Commonwealth vehicles of the second world war, although I've worked on a great many different types and nations from the first world war through to vehicles recovered from more modern conflicts. My current focus is British ww2 tracked armour. This involves collating and interpreting a wide range of period paperwork as accurate contemporary information is difficult to come by.

I joined Wikipedia a long time ago as an IT engineer, but back then most of my edits were not logged in. Since identifying potential updates to the British vehicle articles I've been back involved, having the benefit of access to a number of references not generally available outside of museum archives.
