Antoine Revoy is a French author and illustrator. He is the creator of the horror story graphic novel ANIMUS (originally titled The Playground)[1] published by First Second Books.[2]

Early life

Revoy was born in Paris, France and raised in Tokyo, Japan.[3] He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film/Animation/Video in 1999.[4]

Career

Revoy began his career as a designer in Dublin, Ireland and Paris, France.[5] Following a move to the United States, he started working as an illustrator, creating artwork for the horror story chapter book Haunted Houses[6], written by Robert D. San Souci, author of the manuscript for Disney's feature animation Mulan. Revoy has created editorial illustrations for the New York Times and Der Spiegel[7], winning awards from the Society of Illustrators[8], American Illustration[9], PRINT Magazine[10], Spectrum[11] and gold medals from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles[12] and Graphis.[13] He teaches at his alma mater, the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD),[14] where he has been distinguished as a RISD Illustration ICON.[15][16]
