Arlene Gottfried

Arlene Harriet Gottfried (b. Aug. 26, 1950, Brooklyn, New York; d. Aug. 8, 2017, Manhattan, New York) was a New York City street photographer who recorded scenes of ordinary daily life in some of the city's less opulent neighborhoods. Her work was not widely know until she was in her 50s.
