Hello there, I am Aaehasa!

I am definitely not that kind of guy who likes to speak of himself. However, I am from Kuwait and was born in 1976; work as an associate professor and run two medium-sized enterprises. I teach a variety of statistical analysis courses in both graduate and undergraduate levels. My students say I am a good instructor and fun to be with. I am not sure whether they say it for the purpose of high grades! it does not work anyway.

Reasons to be here

[edit]
  • I believe it is time to payback to Wikipedia; by contributing in building valuable content.
  • To satisfy a self-interest; using Wikipedia as a stress cure to help myself quit alcohol. Wikipedia is somehow a meditation to me. Data mining, citing, referencing, linking and writing, in general, keep drinking away, and I have to do that for health reasons. I was alcoholic until the day I started creating pages and seems things are going smoothly well so far. Thank you, Wikipedia, for being a real cure, and thanks to my lovely wife for suggesting that idea.
  • To satisfy another self-interest – need – that appeared after creating my 7th article as I started to sense Wikipedia's addiction, not to the community but the words, templates, characters, and categories.

Relief progress

It has been 7 years, 2 months and 21 days, and counting, since my last drink. :--))

Likes and dislikes in Wikipedians

[edit]

What I like the most in Wikipedians is following the written Wikipedia's guidelines; having meaningful builds as a goal and sufficient scores as result. What I dislike the most in Wikipedians is following their own/special/different perspective of the written Wikipedia's guidelines; having meaningless scores as a goal and insufficient destroys as a result.

Type of articles I create and creation requests

[edit]

For best outcomes, in terms of this meditation - I write biography pages of notable people within my community, who 1) satisfy Wikipedia's notability guidelines, 2) I have no direct relation with, 3) have proven their contributions in terms of social responsibility and 4) I respect their decency and presence.

Article creation requests are prohibited as of Wikipedia's guidelines. Even if such does not violate the rules, I am here to purely meditate myself and writing as task won't be of any added value to my relief process. Thank you for understanding. :--))
