Jnana Prabodhini, A non-political organization headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India, aims at an alround development of Physical, Mental, Intellectual and Spiritual qualities of people in general and of the gifted in particular. This development should lead to leadership development, motivation building, attitude forming, understanding problems of India and preparation for solving some of these problems as the children grow up.

Conceding the importance of the above aim, the fundamental objective of Jnana Prabodhini is to usher an era of awakening of thought and action, materially to change the face of India for the better and spark a renaissance and a new enlightenment into the spirit of our people and nation.

Way back in 1960, Dr. V.V.Pendse, an educationist par excellence, dreamt of an institute that will awaken intellectual, physical and spiritual potential in our youth and develop them into integrated individuals committed to making positive contribution to the development of their motherland. Embodied firmly in Swami Vivekananda's views on education, what began as an experiment the gifts of the gifted, has now become a multi faceted, multilocational organization recognized at the national and international levels. Jnana Prabodhini (JP) has now grown into a movement for motivating intelligence towards social change.

Jnana Prabodhini is now an ensemble of 4 schools; research institute; a computer training center; 3 other training-cum-production units; a hundred bed hospital, and a rural development program spread over from four adjoining blocks of Pune District, Maharashtra.
