Empress Xiaojing Cheng (1812 - 1855) was the daughter of Hualianga of the Borjigin clan. She was born in the seventeenth year of Jiaqing's reign.

She entered the Forbidden City during the beginning of Daoguang's reign. She was soon promoted to the rank of Worthy Lady Jing and in no time to an Imperial Consort. She gave birth to 3 sons and a daughter. Among them was the future prince Gong. In 1840 empress Xiao Quan Cheng died and it was her who raised her infant son "the Xianfeng emperor". She also became head of the Imperial household.

After the death of emperor Daoguang she was granted the title of imperial dowager consort Kang Ci which her son, prince Gong bitterly resented. In 1855 she became seriously ill and Xianfeng granted her with the title of empress dowager. She sadly enough died several days later aged 44. Two years later she was interred in the Muling mausoleum for concubines. She was also given the posthumous title of empress Xiao Jing Cheng.
