    • Sanskrit The oldest language that is documented well enough to warrant serious study
    • Russian: Some of the most interesting literature is written in this language (See Aleksandr Pushkin) Many non-russians (particularly Americans) are surprised to hear that рыбы (fish) is something you would call your girlfriend.
