History

The Weatherman Umbrella was developed by founder and CEO Rick Reichmuth, Chief Meteorologist at Fox News Channel[1]. After years in the field, and buying and testing hundreds of umbrellas, Rick couldn’t find one that met his standards.

Models and features

The Weatherman is wind-tunnel tested up to 55MPH and features TeflonTM-coated 210T 5-degree pongee fabric. It is available in Collapsible and Stick versions. An embedded tracker chip utilizes the latest Bluetooth 4.1 technology for your smart devices to help locate your umbrella as well.[2]
