Rakib Sarkar (30 December, 1982 – ) is a Bangladeshi Film researcher, Fiction writer and Article writer. He earned ICFJ Fellowship from Washington DC, USA (2013). He was invited from 68th Cannes Film Festival (France, 2015) as film researcher. He is a fiction and article writer. His notable writings are 'Thikana', 'Somantoral' etc.

Early life and education

Rakib Sarkar is born on 30 December 1982, in Narshingdi District. He completed his bachelors (2004) and masters (2005) in Bengali Literature from the University of Chittagong. Now he is doing PhD research about "Cinematizetion of Literature: Bangladesh (1956-1985)" in the University of Dhaka under the supervision of Professor Dr. Biswajit Ghosh (Vice Chancellor of Rabindra Biswabidyaloy).
