Gotham a geometric sans serif typeface designed by Tobias Frere-Jones in 2000. It is distributed by the Hoefler & Frere-Jones type foundry.

Gotham is a geometric sans serif typeface designed by American type designer Tobias Frere-Jones in 2000. The design of Gotham's letterforms are based on New York City signage of the early and mid-twentieth century. Gotham is characterized by it's generous x-height, which makes it exceptionally readable at small sizes.
