Smart drum trigger
Smart drum trigger is a stand-alone solution for drum triggering. Smart drum trigger is a drum trigger with an integrated sound module inside. This kind of drum trigger does not require an external sound module. Direct connection to the mixer console allows working without DI-box. Battery power feature allows to work without AC-mains and adapter. Smart drum trigger is a compact lightweight device attaching onto the drum rim and connecting to the mixer console by usual microphone cable.
Smart drum trigger comprises the small enclosure attached to the drum rim which contains a reading head - a reader of strokes performed with drum sticks or with a foot pedal beater. The enclosure cavity contains the stroke detecting circuit based on parameters of the electric signal from the reading head connected with the processing circuit including the audio signal generator (drum brain) which is connected with the output connector to connect to a mixer console for further processing and amplification.
Smart drum triggers differ in drum type and in principle of work. There are triggers for kick drum, for snare drum and for tom-tom drum. By the principle of work there are piezo and laser types of smart drum triggers.
