GREAT Photograph

Wanted to let you know that we have used your photograph, of the NYS Education Department building, on our redesigned Board of Regents website (http://www.regents.nysed.gov/.) Many of our users, especially agency staff, have remarked on how nice the photograph is.

Thank you.

Use of Breakers in Newport, RI by Matt H. Wade

Hi Matt:

I am creating a video on creating a bee friendly lawn. In the video I am doing a little history of lawns and am planning to use your photograph of the Breakers in Newport, RI. Awesome photo!

Thanks for putting this in the commons.

Permission to use Photograph

HI Matt -

My name is Jim Hornor and I work for an Interior Design firm in Boston, MA. I would like to use your photograph of the Boston University Bridge as a mural for a corporate workplace cafeteria. I am working with DL Couch to manufacture this image into a mural, but would like to get a letter of approval to use this image. We will have a plaque made (photo by: Matt H. Wade) and installed below this image. Please let me know if this could be printed on commercial grade wallcovering for a private corporate workplace wall mural in their cafeteria.

my email is: jim@mcmahonarchtiects.com

I would appreciate your feedback, so I know if we need to find alternate image to use. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you, Jim — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.92.175.91 (talk) 21:54, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Use of your Ten Broeck images

Greetings Mr. Wade,

For my Digital History class at UAlbany I am creating a blog about the Ten Broeck Mansion. I came across your images of the mansion and included them in my post. I hope I cited you correctly at the bottom of the page. This is still a rough draft so I may end up embedding the images if possible and if that works out I will move your name and url to below the image. Thanks again for taking such beautiful images. I quickly looked through all 1045 of your images and was pleased to see a majority were of our wonderful city! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.29.72.86 (talk) 05:56, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Use of your image, Cinderella Castle

Dear Mr Wade

Many thanks for making your images freely available. I'm a professor of archaeology editing an academic book on Bodiam Castle, UK. It's an academic print book, run of maybe 5-700 copies: http://www.oxbowbooks.com/oxbow/lived-experience-in-the-later-middle-ages.html. One chapter is on public perceptions of castles and we would like to use your image of Cinderella castle in that context. The byline will be Photo by Matt Wade, CC-BY-SA-3.0/Matt H. Wade at Wikipedia, as you request, though obviously in a print publication the link will not work.

Do let me know if you have any issues with this -- matthew-johnson@northwestern.edu. Thanks again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:246:4:2150:501:3001:6D49:DAE9 (talk) 17:41, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

SUNY Admin Building Photo

Hi Matt,

Wanted to let you know that we are using your image of the SUNY-Albany administration building to accompany an article about SUNY's recent decision to "ban the box" on student applications asking about past criminal convictions. You can see the article at https://www.prisonfellowship.org/2016/09/banning-box-opening-doors/. Thanks for making the image available.

Using Image for Article

Hello, Matt!

Ioana from RENTCafé here. I would like to use your photo with the panorama of Albany for one of my articles. It is a great one! I will of course give you photo credits and link :) Would that be ok with you?

Thank you for making it available to us!

All the best,

Hi Matt Am intending to use one of your images (that of the seal of New Netherlands taken at the NY Museum) in a modified form (transparent background) in a printed output of a family history which I am producing (non commercial). Circulation minimal - extended family only, most likely well under 100. Attribution of original work to you as directed will be printed under photo and also in references section. Please let me know of any concerns regarding this.... Pablo (....and: THANK YOU for sharing!) PGMcE (talk) 22:02, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Using your image of the Cinderella Castle in a presentation about information security

Hi Matt, First off, thank you for the making your work available under Creative Commons. Secondly and per your request, I wanted to let you know that I am using your image in a presentation on the topic of Information Security. In a nutshell, I'm using it to help articulate how fortifications have changed over time (especially after the introduction of gunpowder) and the changing nature of technology requires a similar evolution for security technologies and practitioners. Your image will be used to tee up the discussion by contrasting things in the US, where most of our castles are simulacra, with things in Europe where castles were primarily military in nature for much of their existence. I think the presentation may be recorded and posted online. If it is, I will send you a link.

Thanks again and best regards /James Plouffe james[dot]r[dot]plouffe[at]gmail[dot]com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.110.243.115 (talk) 12:32, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your picture of the Claiborne Pell Bridge

Hello, I really liked your picture of the Pell Bridge at night. I'm writing a book about the region (a little bit of Newport, mostly Fall River) but the Claiborne Pell Bridge is central to the plot. I liked your pic so much I decided to use it for the ad and I might use it for the cover. You can find the ad here: http://www.facebook.com/michaelbproud

Thank you for your time and I'll let you know if I use the picture again, per your request on your wiki page.

Happy reading,
