  • Why do we need yet another dispute resolution process? Isn't it just going to complicate things more?

The final stage of dispute resolution There is a widespread consensus that Wikipedia's existing dispute resolution processes are not working. For example, another long discussion is currently winding up where numerous users have expressed frustration over the ineffectiveness of existing processes.

In contentious topic areas, admins supposedly have broad powers to intervene in disputes to protect the encyclopedia via Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement, but a recent case demonstrates that even after all this time, admins are still confused about what constitutes a "content dispute" and whether or not they are entitled to intervene.
