All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

Sexual Revolution

That paragraph about Hefner sounds like it was written by his PR department. He didn't change the culture although he liked to say he did. There have always been porn magazines. There have always been men's clubs. His was just a different style. More accessible to middle class men. He was a good marketer. That doesn't mean that he actually changed attitudes about sex. Helen Gurley Brown was a bigger influence on the sexual revolution. Hefner doesn't belong in that article. This article is the first thing people will read when they google 'sexual revolution" so it is important that it isn't just a marketing tool for Playboy corp.
