Overview

Pine Lake is located in Wisconsin's Rusk County. It makes up 256 acres of land and is surrounded by a wooded forest. The maximum depth of the lake is 106 feet. Pine Lake is at an elevation of 1,101 feet. The bottom of the lake is 50% sand, 30% gravel, 15% rock, and 5% muck. The type of lake is known as a seepage lake. A seepage lake does not have an inlet or outlet and gets its water mostly from precipitation or runoff. Because of this, water levels tend to fluctuate seasonally. [1] [2]

Wildlife

There are various species of wildlife that inhabit the lake and the surrounding forest. In terms of fish, largemouth bass are the most common. Panfish and Northern Pike are also present in smaller quantities. Loons, turtles, snakes, beavers, bears, deer, chipmunks, and rabbits may also be found in the surrounding area. [3]

Homes

Pine Lake is halfway surrounded by homes. There are approximately 40 homes located on the lake. The homes were built by a few men from Chicago who bought the land. [4]
