Adam von Bodenstein (1528-1577} was a Swiss physician and alchemist, who was born in Karlstadt, Switzerland. His father, Andreas Bodenstein was a theologian.

Bodenstein, along with Gerhard Dorn, Johannes Oporinus and Michael Toxites were responsible for translation of the works of Paracelsus. Adam von Bodenstein is credited with translating from German to Latin the following works; Giambattista della Porta Magia naturalis , Opus Chyrurgicum, and Onomasticon Paracelsicum.
