Svetlanas are a Russian thrashcore and punk rock band formed in Moscow, Russia. Its current lineup consists of Olga Svetlanas on lead vocals, JJ on guitar, Steve on bass, and Diste, Olga's husband, on drums.[1] The band also features its newest addition, bassist Nick Oliveri, from Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, upon its list of members.[2]
History
Svetlanas originated in Russia in 2009. Their self-titled debut album was released a year later in 2010. The lineup has changed since the formation of the band but has now remained constant, as of January 2018.[3]

Controversy
As of September 2014, Svetlanas have been exiled from Russia due to their political views primarily expressed through their music, which are portrayed as against the Russian government. Distribution or ownership of Svetlanas' music within the country is now considered unlawful.[4]
