History

Miss Pacific Islands is a national Beauty pageant held in the Pacific Islands Region, formally know as Miss South Pacific Pageant but changed in 2014.The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant was established in 1987 by the Government of Samoa as a regional event to recognise and promote the attributes, intelligence and talents of young Pacific Island women.The Pageant gives recognition to young Pacific Island women and their contributions to regional affairs and their ability to advance in diverse fields.  It is an event that uniquely promotes the South Pacific and its holiday destinations and brings together young women from all sectors of the Pacific for the purpose of promoting and attracting worldwide attention to their unique attributes.
