Babu Tale

Hamisi Shaban Taletale also known as “Babu Tale” (Born on 31st December 1982, He is the Tanzanian Talent Manager. He is the Co-founder of WCB Wasafi Music Label. Babu Tale represents Diamond Platnumz, Madee, Ray vanny, Mbosso, Rich Mavoko, Dogo Janja among others. Through Ray Vanny, Babu Tale was the first manager to bring BET Award wins to Tanzania and the first in Africa to win MTV Europe Music Awards for both “Best African Act” and “Worldwide Act” through Diamond Platnumz’s major win in 2015. He has also helped to build names for Bongo Flava now-owned music stars such as Tundaman, Mb Doggy, Keyshia, Z Anto and many other.

Personal Life

Babu Tale was born and raised in Dar es salaam to a nine kids family, his whole family was living in a two bedrooms house. Due to financial problems , Babu Tale was the only child to study and complete ordinary education because he got a scholarship after winning UMISETA Challenge for impersonating other people such as Julius Nyerere and many others. He took his ordinary level education at Makongo Secondary School. He started doing comedy earlier but he later gave up his career because of his wife which open other opportunity for him. He was also arrested and take to Tanzania court of law with the issue of not being able to pay the due of Tanzanian Shillings 250 Millions as per the articles written in Media News .

Career

He started his career by organizing shows and it was during this era of his career when he met Madee, Tanzanian music star and a co-founder of TipTop Connection. Earlier Babu Tale tried to be an artist but he would not memorize the lyrics, Due to his talent of impersonating other people, his brother helped him to get a job to do radio jingles at the East Africa Radio and also he would work with Rehema Charamila or populary known as Ray C on her radio show “Music Box”at the time. Later on his sister died, Madee wrote a song “Kazi yake Mola” Ft Mandojo & Domokoya which was a dedication to Babu Tale’s sister and the song become nationwide Hit. Then Babu Tale and his brother, Abdu Bonge started to invest in Music and that was the start of Babu Tale’s career as the Talent Manger, He first wanted to be a manager just because he wanted to impress women’s but later it turned into business.

After he started working with TipTop Connection, Babu Tale helped to bring up artist’s such as MB Doggy, Z anto, Keyshia, Tundaman, Pingu & Desso, PNS, Kassim Mganga, Loveness Love and many other artist. At the time artist’s under his management would win Kilimanjaro Tanzania Music Awards back to back every year. Unfortunately he later had misunderstandings with the artist’s he was working with so he decided to work independently, He worked with Peter Msechu on his first official track “Hasira Hasala” which was a huge success, he then worked with Quick Rocka on his debut hit-track “Bullet” He was employed for 1 year by spice music in 2010, then he later worked with Suma Lee on his biggest hit “Hakunaga” before he officially started to manage Diamond Platnumz and their first official project was “Moyo wangu”
