The High Plains Regional Climate Center (HPRCC) is one of the six Regional Climate Centers in the United States. It is managed by the Regional Climate Center program within the National Centers for Environmental Information [1]. The HPRCC is operated by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln within the School of Natural Resources [2].
The HPRCC provides climate products and services to the High Plains Region, which contains the following states: Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming [1].
Climate Summary Maps
HPRCC is the producer of the Applied Climate Information System (ACIS) Climate Summary maps, which are produced daily by the center[3].
Automated Weather Data Network
The Automated Weather Data Network is a service operated by HPRCC to provide information for agricultural producers[4]. The network is made possible through a long standing partnership with the states of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wyoming[5].
