Nora Huntington is a fictional character on the ABC television series, Desperate Housewives. The character is played by Kiersten Warren.

History

Lynette first mistook Nora for Tom's mistress and wanted to kill both of them, but she turned out to be a one-night stand from before he knew Lynette. Nora ended up getting pregnant and giving birth to Tom's daughter, Kayla. Lynette and Nora clashed instantly thanks to Nora throwing child support papers in their faces. Tom and Lynette decide to pay her off in order for her to go away, but she uses the money to buy a house near the Scavos. Ever since she moved to Fairview, she has been causing chaos for the Scavos. Lynette desperately wants to get her a boyfriend so she can be out of the house more often. She hooks her up with Carlos, and they click instantly. However they are soon caught by Carlos' wife, Gabrielle who blames Lynette for bringing them together. Nora is manipulative and cunning,often using her daughter to get what she wants, including Tom. That's right, Nora and Kayla have a plan to get Tom to be more prominent in their lives. When Tom decides he will open a pizza parlor and Lynette doesn't support him full, Nora takes him dinner while he's "renovating". When they are done with their meal Nora makes a move. When Tom tells Lynette about the kiss, she goes over to Nora's home. Lynette kicks in the door threatening that if Nora is ever in eyesight of Tom she will break her spine, as she did her front door. Nora decides to move to Mexico and have Tom and Lynette send child support money. To stop this, Lynette comes up with the idea of fighting for full custody. Later Nora and Lynnete find each other in a supermarket and start arguing. They hear gunshots and try to escape, but gets caught. The shooter turns out to be Carolyn Bigsby, who is after vengenance for her husband cheating on her (he is the store manager). Later Nora tells Lynette that what she must be thinking now about maybe never seeing her children again is exactly what Lynette is trying to force her into experiencing for the rest of her life, and although Lynette tells her to shut up because Carolyn told them to be quiet, she does not, and Carolyn soon hears them and becomes annoyed. Nora tells her that Lynette is trying to steal her child, and Lynette responds by telling Carolyn that Nora tried to get Tom to cheat on her. Carolyn is angered by this and shoots Nora, who soon dies despite Lynettes attempts to save her. As Nora is dying she tells Lynette that Kayla was the best thing that ever happened to her and tells her to treat her like her own daughter, which Lynette promises to do. A few seconds later Nora dies.
