Marketing to Children:

In recent years, there has been a national shift toward outlawing the sale of flavored tobacco, starting with the ban on flavored cigarettes in 2009. [1]One study, the FDA’s Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health, suggested that many tobacco smokers reported that their first tobacco product was flavored, particularly 80% of smokers ages 12-17 and 75% of young adults ages 18-25.[2]
