The Camp Fire is a wildfire currently burning in northeastern Butte County, California in the United States. The fire started on November 8, 2018 near Camp Creek Road near the Jarbo Gap. The fire grew quickly due to red flag warning winds and caused the evacuation of the city of Paradise, the communities of Concow, Pulga, Magalia, Butte Creek Canyon, Butte Valley and Butte College were evacuated. The fire burned through Paradise, destroying the city center. As of November 9, the Camp Fire has burned 70,000 acres (283 km2) and is 5 percent contained.

The Camp Fire was reported on November 8, 2018 at 6:33 a.m. as a vegetation fire burning at Pulga Road at Camp Creek Road near Jarbo Gap in northeast Butte County, California.
