Danny Williams (born 25 January 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left winger for AFC Fylde, on loan from Accrington Stanley.

Career

Williams moved from Clitheroe to Kendal Town in February 2011, having previously played for Daisy Hill and FC United.[1] At FC United he had scored two goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.[2] He joined Chester on loan in October 2012,[3] scoring two goals in 28 appearances in the Conference North.[4]

He was linked with a move to Scottish club Inverness Caledonian Thistle in May 2013,[5] and the move was finalised in August 2013.[6] Despite a slow start to his career at the start of the season, Williams signed a new two-year contract with the club.[7] On 14 January 2014, Williams scored his first professional goal, as Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat Aberdeen 1–0.[8] Williams came on as a substitute as Inverness won the 2015 Scottish Cup Final.[9]

On 22 March 2016, Dundee announced that Williams had signed a pre-contract agreement with the club along with fellow Inverness teammate James Vincent.[10] Williams left Dundee in November 2017,[11] and signed for Accrington Stanley in January 2018.[12] He was offered a new contract by Accrington at the end of the 2017–18 season.[13] He moved on loan to AFC Fylde in October 2018.[14]
