Mariano D. Papy

Mariano D. Papy (Oct 9, 1824 - July 8, 1875) was a clerk for the Florida House of Representatives, Florida Attorney General, and a member of the Florida House of Representatives.[1] He also served on Florida's executive council during the American Civil War era.[2]

The state passed an act to admit him to practice law "notwithstanding his minority", February 5, 1844.[3]

Papy served as Florida's attorney general from April 19, 1853 until March 2, 1861.[4]

He died in Tallahassee and is bured in the capital city's Old City Cemetery.[5]
