My name is Steven Dieter. I was born in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, and attended Owen Sound Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Some of the more famous OSCI/OSCVI Alumni include Great War flying ace William Avery "Billy" Bishop, doctor Norman Bethune, and the Honourable Agnes Macphail, the first female member of the Canadian House of Commons.

I am an Associate Air Force Historian with the Office of Air Force Heritage and History, located at 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario. I hold Bachelor degrees in History from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario,; and in Education from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario; and a Master of Arts in Military History from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont.
