Aaww this is just too cute ^^,

Two articles?

[edit]

Should we make two articles for this? One about fanlistings and their history, and one about the network itself? I think there should probably be two articles considering not all fanlistings are approved by TFL.org. Any objections? Haley 00:11, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Main Article

[edit]

I have created the article for The Fanlistings Network. Please only add the history of fanlistings in general to the fanlistings page. Anyone want to make an article on The Anime Fanlistings Network? Otherwise that information on categories will stay. All staff info was moved to the new article, as well. --Haley 04:21, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oldest Fanlisting

[edit]

"The oldest fanlisting is Slayers Empire, the original fanlisting started by Janine on March 5th, 2000"

As I understand that this article is about fanlistings in general and not The Fanlistings Network, I would like to contest this fact. I personally had a fanlisting in operation in 1999, and I know of others that operated alongside it.

I think this article is talking about fanlistings that used the term "fanlisting" to name themselves. As far as we know, Janine Mischor came up with the term itself. This is not a fact written in a history book, but she is the only known person to have used it. If you read the whole article on The Fanistings Network, it mentions that cliques were popular in the 1990's, and that Mischor may have gotten the idea from them. If your listing/clique used the term "fanlisting", then things could possibly be changed. --Haley 18:02, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
