Angélica Dass

Angelica Dass (born 1979) is a Brazilian photographer based in Madrid[1] and the creator of the project Humanæ.[2] She gave a TED talk in March 2016 called "The beauty of human skin in every color" about how skin colors "make us see each other as different, even though we are equal."[3]
Biography
Angelica Dass was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1979.
Project Humanæ
She created her portrait project Humanæ in 2012[4] while studying at Spain's ETI.[5] It is a catalogue of human skin colors that are displayed as a collage of Pantone portraits.[6] The display is intended to create a dialogue about how we see each other and how we view race, ethnicity and identity[7] and has included over 4,000 pictures of people in 17 countries and 27 cities around the world.[8] Humanæ is a traveling exhibit[9] and has been in such places as the Daelim Museum in Seoul, South Korea; the Uribitarte Promenade, in Bilbao, Spain; the Upho Urban Photo Festival in Malaga, Spain; the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, in Milan, Italy; and Habitat III, UN Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, in Quito, Ecuador;[10] the Migration Museum in London,[11] Kingsport, Tennessee and International Photography Festival in Israel.
