The Journal of Risk and Insurance (JRI) is an annual peer-reviewed academic journal covering insurance economics and risk management. The journal is published by Wiley on behalf of the American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA). The current editor-in-chief is Joan T. Schmit (University of Wisconsin-Madison).

The ARIA also publishes the Risk Management and Insurance Review[1].

According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2017 impact factor of 1.606, ranking it 35th out of 98 journals in the category "Business, Finance“.
