"9x9" NINE by NINE, (ไนน์ บาย นาย | NINE BY NINE), also known as 9 x 9, is a nine member Thai Boy Group. The members of the Thai Boy Group are a collection of nine talented Thai actors and singers.

They were brought together in a special project created in collaboration with 4nologue, Nadao Bangkok and GMM Grammy’s MBO[1]. The nine by nine project's goal was to produce a Thai idol boy group album, go on tour, and act in a Thai TV series. [2]NINE by NINE members underwent an intensive training process that included acting workshops and dance performance, before their Thai debut as a band in November 2018. Their first acting appearance came in September 2018, in the Thai TV Series, In Family We Trust.

NINE by NINE then had their first debut as a Thai boy group in November 2018, releasing their first single 'Night Light'. 'Night Light' was included in NINE by NINE's mini album 'En-Route'. The mini album's title 'En-Route' symbolized the band members' long journey to their debut.[3]

Concert & Tours

In September 2019, NINE by NINE appeared in a 4-episode Line series called 'Into the Light with 9x9'. A concert series that showcased the 9x9 members singing, leading up to the final episode and showcase titled, 'Into the Light with You' in mid-October 2018. NINE by NINE then worked on dropping their first single, 'Night Light' from their mini-album, 'En-Route'.

On November 8th, 2018, NINE by NINE held a press conference where they performed a Night Light show performance and had their first 'Night Light' Music Video Premier.

NINE by NINE then embarked on a concert tour dubbed, 9x9 | On The Route. They performed at various venues until the end of December 2018.

NINE by NINE dropped their second single 'Hypnotize' on December 25, 2018, in an exclusive first official streaming on JOOX. The 'Hypnotize' Music Video dropped on January 9th, 2019, and was available to stream in various online channels. On January 11th, 2019, the 'Hypnotize' MV hit one million views on Youtube.[4]

By the end of January 2019, 4nologue announced the start of a second concert tour. The second concert leg would be dubbed: 9x9 Thailand Tour: Route to the Destination[5]. "It’s time to face the end of 1-year journey on 9x9 project. Let’s get on the last route in 9x9 THAILAND TOUR : ROUTE TO THE DESTINATION, 3 routes of 3 provinces..." 4Nologue [6]. The first concert was on February 2nd, 2019, with the last concert being on February 23rd, 2019.[7]

4nologue then released a 'The Journey of 9x9 Documentary[8]' on the 9x9 LineTV Channel. The Documentary is a compilation of the members' real experiences as they worked to become NINE by NINE,[9] from their first audition to the debut of their music and performing at major concerts.

NINE by NINE dropped their third single 'The Lucky One' on January 28, 2019, in an exclusive first streaming on JOOX.[10] The song was then made available to various online channels on January 31st, 2019. 'The Lucky One' is a Great Men Academy, Line TV series soundtrack.

On March 9th, 2019, NINE by NINE performed a 'one-year finale of the nine by nine project' concert dubbed: 9x9 THE FINAL CONCERT : EN[D] ROUTE[11] [12]. The concert was sold out, and turned into an emotional celebration of their hard work for their En Route Mini Album.[13] Due to the success of this concert, 4nologue then added an extra show night that coincided with the last episode of the 'The Journey of 9x9 Documentary'.

The music video of NINE by NINE's last song, Eternity, from the album 'En Route' debuted on Youtube on March 22, 2019[14]. NINE by NINE also performed this song on their last concert in the 9x9 The Final Concert.

Acting

The NINE by NINE members have appeared in the Thai TV Series, In Family We Trust. They took on the roles of the grandchildren in the family drama/mystery series.[15]
