He was engaged in the peacekeeping mission, he ruled in the society of steppe people [2]. A historical epic (zhyr) “Yer Kabanbai” was written about Kabanbai-batyr [3].

Biography

In 1691, a boy was born in the family of Batyr Kozhagul, who was named Yerasyl - “noble faithful”. As a teenager, he was ahead of many of his peers in the physical development and was given the nickname Narbala, that is, a “tall youth” [1]. In his youth, he accomplished a feat on the Zaisan bank, killing a wild boar with people with a spear, after which his people began to call, not otherwise, as Kabanbai

When the Dzungarian conquerors invaded the Kazakh steppes, Kabanbai's father died. And he devoted his whole life to the fight against invaders. At the age of 16, Kabanbai defeated a Djungarian hero, Dolan Dashi, the terrible one. Then in the life of a young warrior there were such bloody and memorable battles as Ayagoz, Alakul and Bulantinsky.

At the head of the Kazakh detachments, Kabanbai together with other batyrs, Bogenbai-Batyr and Yer-Zhanibek, liberated the territory of East Kazakhstan from the Djungars of the city of Sairam, Tashkent. Kabanbai batyr spent most of his life in the saddle of a war horse. During this time, he took part in 103 battles for liberation from the enemies of his native land and did not lose in any of them. And in the fierce battles 54 opponents plunged. He was distinguished by extraordinary physical strength, according to legend, he raised a horse on his shoulders (half a ton).
