I am relatively new to Wikipedia. I thought it would be great to contribute to Wikipedia, so I started a new page titled "Null Symmetric Matrix" (later changed to "Null-symmetric Matrix") to explain a new matrix property that I discovered during my doctoral research.
I received my doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Houston in 2000, with focus on structural dynamics, experimental/analytical modal analysis, model correlation, and structural damage detection. In addition to conducting research at the Dynamic Systems and Controls Laboratory, I was involved in developing new NASTRAN capabilities for NASA's structural dynamic applications in collaboration with ACTA, Inc. After graduation, I worked as a senior engineer at ACTA, where one of my primary responsibilities was developing and maintaining the MATLAB Nonlinear Model Validation and Verification (V&V) Toolbox. My work at ACTA also included statistical risk analysis, uncertainty quantification, and system health prognostics for numerous applications such as missile launching, shuttle overflight, and defense systems. In 2004, I returned to Houston and have been working under Boeing's Space Shuttle Program since. My contributions at Boeing include supporting midlife certification of space shuttle's main propulsion system (MPS), and serving as a technical lead for Wing Leading Edge Impact Detection System (WLE IDS).
