A user script to help one effortlessly update their status.

Features

[edit]
  • Compatible with the {{Statustop}} and other common templates;
  • Uses Ajax to edit the status page, so you don't have to leave the current page.

Installation

[edit]
  1. Insert {{subst:iusc|User:Rutilant/statusChanger.js}} on Special:MyPage/skin.js or Special:MyPage/common.js.
  2. That's all. Refresh the page if you don't see the "change status" button.

Usage

[edit]

Status page

[edit]

This user script treats User:[Username]/Status as the status page; it really shouldn't concern you unless you're using your own status template and not the "mainstream" ones.

Changing status

[edit]
  1. Click on the "change status" button to bring up the popup;
  2. Choose one from the six currently available options: online, away, around, busy, offline, and sleeping;
  3. Done—you will not be redirected anywhere.

Customizing

[edit]

The only thing you can change is the name displayed in notification and edit summary.

var s_appname="NewName";
