Isoniittu School (Finnish: Isoniitun koulu) is a primary school in Nurmijärvi municipality, Finland. School is the largest school of the Klaukkala village and its includes all nine grades of the Finnish primary school system. The school had 481 pupils in the school year 2014-2015, of whom 163 were in elementary and 318 in secondary.[1] The school is located near the center of Klaukkala and the Klaukkala Church. The school was built in the summer of 2005 and started its activities on August 1, 2006. The school's name Isoniitun koulu refers to the language of Finnish national author Aleksis Kivi, for Kivi wrote his texts the word niitty ("meadow") to end with the letter u.[2]
On November 11, 2014, the school also established its own parents' association, Isoniittu Parents Association (Isoniitun vanhemmat ry), which is open to all parents of pupils at the school.[3]
