J. D. Kendis was a movie producer in the United States. He was president of low budget film companu Jay-Dee-Kay Productions, known for its exploitation films[1] reased from the mid-1930s to the 1950s. Elmer Clifton directed several of the films. He also released films under the Continental Pictures brand.[2]

Ida Kendis was Secretary and Treasurer of his film company.[3]

He died in 1957 at age 71.[4]
