Walter W. Rose was a state senator and real estate developer in Florida. He platted the Rosemere subdivision in Orlando's College Park subdivision and donated land for what is now Dickson Azalea Park along Fern Creek.[1] He served in the State Senate from 1933 until 1948. He was a Democrat.[2]

He came to Florida in 1909.[3] He bought the Ericcson house in 1920.[3] He named the streets in the area he platted for colleges.[3]
