Mehmood Kot (Urdu: محمُود كوٹ), (Punjabi: محمود کوٹ) or Mahmud Kot is a small town in District Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan. The coordinates of Mahmud Kot are 30°15'3"N 71°29'12"E.

Mahmud Kot is famous due to the shrine of Khaja Mian Muhammad Hussain Panwar Chishti, was the Khalifa of Qibla Alam Hazrat Khaja Noor Muhammad Maharvi[1][circular reference]. Great Scholar Hazrat Mian Khaliq Dad Altaf and Great educationist Syed Akbar Hussain Shah belong to this city.

The Lal Pir Power is a location in Mehmood Kot and Lal Pir Power Plant produces 362 MW of electricity.[2] The city is served by Mahmud Kot railway station.
