Achille Salvagni (born 1970) is an Italian interior designer and architect, specialising in luxury residences and yacht interiors.
Early Life
Achille Salvagni graduated with an honors degree in architecture in 1998, and became a member of the National Registered Architects Association in Rome in 1999. He then spent a year studying in Sweden at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.[1]
Career
In 2002, he founded Achille Salvagni Architetti creating interiors for high-end properties and yachts. In 2013, he moved to making bespoke furniture with the opening of his first atelier in Rome. This was followed by the 2015 opening of a flagship gallery space on Grafton Street in Mayfair, London.[2]
His work is often characterised by its incorporation of rich, noble materials such as bronze and onyx, as well as being heavily influenced by his Roman heritage and classical mythology. [3][4][5]
His home and extensive art collection have been profiled in Architectural Digest[6] and The Telegraph among others. He is a noted collector of artworks from the Arte Povera movement.[7]
In 2019, the first monograph of his work was published by Rizzoli Books, written by design critic Pilar Viladas.[8][9][10]
