DeepMap is an American artificial intelligence technology company offering high definition mapping and localization services to autonomous vehicles.


History

DeepMap was founded in 2016 by James Wu, Mark Wheeler, and Wei Luo. Wu and Wheeler had previously worked in mapping roles at Google, Apple, and Baidu.

Funding

In 2016, the company received $25 million in series A funding from Accel, Andreessen Horowitx, and GSR Ventures.[1] DeepMap received an evaluation of $425 million after raising $60 million in series B funding.[2]
