Kelly Foods, Inc. or Kelly's is a chili and meat branded company in West Tennessee offering various canned foods. Founded in 1938 by Mark Koch [1] with the original planet located in Jackson, TN. Its logo features a stereotypical Irish figure with the catchphrase, "Will steal your heart". Additionally, it's also famously known in the West Tennessee by the jingle "Good, good, good" and "Something's cooking at Kelly's".

History

Kelly Foods, Inc. was founded in 1938. They opened the first plant in Jackson, TN. In 2003 the company filed for bankruptcy [2] but has since recovered its assets.[citation needed] Kelly Foods, Inc. is known for chill but has also made beef stew, pork brains with gravy, potted meat, Vienna sausages, tamales and among other things. It was once managed by Brooke Shaw [3] the founder of the Old Country Store located in the Casey Jones Village in Jackson, TN. The original location of the Old Country Store was across from the Kelly Foods Jackson, TN processing plant. In 2015 the iconic Jackson, TN plant sign was restored and relocated to the Old Country Store. The original building has since set abandoned now for a few decades. Kelly Foods, Inc. distributes its products to many location throughout West Tennessee, most notably, Memphis, TN.
