Yung Beria

Yung Beria, originally known as Augustine Saah is a rising international artist from West Africa and was born on August 17, 1994. Originally from the country of Liberia, he has had a passion for music at a young age and began to make a serious connection to it as he began to memorize lyrics of almost every hit radio song. Little did he know that later down the road, he would begin creating his own music, memorizing his own lyrics and creating a stage name that he felt was a reflection of himself.

However growing up, life was not easy for Beria. With no support from his parents or no guardian, he had to figure things out on his own, undergoing various struggles and pain that pushed him to turn to his music even more. Tupac and Jay Z are two of his favorites and he was always motivated by their delivery, honesty, and ability to keep people motivated. That’s what Yung Beria also stands for.

Knowing that there were better days ahead after the storm, he began to take his music more seriously and released his first single in 2014 titled “Call My Baby”. After his single release, he went on to release six more mixtapes and several singles, challenging himself to perfect his sound and style of music.[1]

When asked what separates him from any other artist, Yung Beria credits his unique accent that he fuses with hip hop. [2]
