The username MReedB was first used as a login on the PDP computers at The University of Arizona in 1978, by M. 'Reed' Brooks, while majoring in Aero-Mechanical Engineering. Since then, it has been in continuous use. In 1980, as a student and Computing Services employee at The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, it became a permanant login and nickname, both personally and professionally. The U of A computer systems, with their 28 remote sites around the state, linked to the early Internet in the early 1980's, and the name was used on all types of early internet locations and services, especially on IRC, or Internet Relay Chat. As an Undernet IRC Server Operator, first on Phoexix, then on many other servers (Arlington, Oslo, Montreal, Busapest, etc.), MReedB was active for most of two decades.
MReedB is now registered on every major internet site imaginable, usually as a beta tester by invitation. It has also a username on innumerable commercial sites, registered over a three decade career in IT Operations & Management, Business Management, Programming, & Consulting Services, as well as for recreation, education, experimentation, creation, and investigation. It is still in active use today, and is one of the oldest nicknames in active use.
After a 30+ year career, MReedB is supposedly retired now, and medically disabled. But somehow, there always seems to be another project. It's been an amazing ride!
Google MReedB. No telling what will cone up. Don't believe any of my "quotes!" You know how it is. If it is on the Internet, it must be true, right? <chuckle>
My advice: Believe nothing! Verify! Then still be suspicious!
