ATS Scholar is an online-only, peer-reviewed, open access medical journal published on a quarterly basis by American Thoracic Society.

It is one of four official journals published by the American Thoracic Society, along with the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (the "Blue Journal"), Annals of the American Thoracic Society (the "White Journal") and the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology (the "Red Journal").

Contents

The journal is focused on publishing peer-reviewed health professions education manuscripts relevant to the fields of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. This includes those related to the teaching of common clinical topics, the training of healthcare providers and scientists, and educational research.

History

The journal was announced in a newsletter released to members of the American Thoracic Society in February of 2019 [1]. Its first set of accepted articles were published online on February 24th, 2020.

Editors

In July 2020, Nitin Seam became the journal's first editor-in-chief.[2]
