The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), founded in 1897, is the oldest pro-Israel group in the U.S. Its more famous sister organization is [Hadassah] [1], the Women's Zionist Organization of America.

Past presidents have included such Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis and Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver (founder of the [Hillel] [2] Organization for campus outreach). The ZOA was instrumental in mobilizing the support of the U.S. government, Congress, and the American public for the creation of [Israel] in 1948.
