Campus
Grove City College is located within the rural town of Grove City, Pennsylvania, 60 miles (97 km) north of Pittsburgh. Its 269-acre (1.09 km2) campus is divided into a lower campus and an upper campus by Wolf Creek, which a quadrangle of buildings overlooks.[1] The campus of Grove City College follows a master plan designed early in the 1900s by Olmsted Brothers, the architectural firm of John Charles Olmsted and Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., which was founded by their father, Frederick Law Olmsted.[2][3]
The oldest building on campus, Cunningham Hall, built in 1854, predates the founding of the college.[4] A building given by Andrew Carnegie circa 1901 to serve as a public library for both the borough of Grove City and the college has since become the Carnegie Alumni Center.[5] More recently constructed buildings include Rathburn Hall and STEM Hall.[6] The majority of the buildings on campus are designed in a neogothic style.[7]
