Laurie Coleman
Laurie Coleman (born Laurie Casserly December 13, 1956) is the wife of Republican U.S. Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota. She is an aspiring actor, model, and mother of two children, Jacob and Sarah Coleman. The Colemans had two other children, who died in infancy due to Zellweger syndrome, a rare genetic disease. Coleman is Roman Catholic and her mother, Lois Casserly, was a leading pro-life activist in Minnesota. Her husband is Jewish.
A native of Eden Prairie, Coleman began her professional career as a ballet dancer and performed with the Minnesota Dance Theater. She also danced with the Boston Ballet as well as the City Ballet and Harkness Repertory Theater companies in New York.
Her acting credits include small roles in NBC's miniseries Kingpin, a 2004 made-for-TV movie Homeland Security, the 2002 film 3 Days of Rain, the 1999 film The First of May and the 1998 made-for-TV movie A Chance of Snow. She also had a role in the Twin Cities production of The Vagina Monologues.
In fall of 2004, she was featured in a photo spread for the Washington Post in which she appeared in boudoir-type photographs. In the interview for the photo-shoot, she said that she enjoys modeling, long walks on the beach, and quiet dinners in her home.
According to her husband's Personal Financial Disclosure (a document that U.S. Senators and candidates must fill out annually to disclose their financial interests), Laurie Coleman worked for Holster, Inc. in Los Angeles and Susan Bristol, Inc. in New York City in 2004 (see [1]).
Coleman divides her time between Minnesota, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
