Joseph Kunini

Joseph Kunini is a Nigerian politician who was elected speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly in December 2019 following the resignation of the former Speaker the house, Abel Diah and Deputy Speaker, Muhammad Gwampo.[1][2] Kunini, a member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was the House Majority Leader before his election as speaker.  Kunini was nominated by Bonzana Kizito (PDP- Zing State Constituency) and was seconded by Ammed Jedua of Gembu State Constituency. Sixteen of the 24 members of the house who were present elected Kunini speaker of the house unopposed.[3][4][5][6]
