U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union is a credit union founded in 1935 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.[1] They have branches in Albuquerque, Farmington, Santa Fe, and Bernalillo.[2] As of June 2019, it was reported that U.S. Eagle had 77,756 members and $1.029 billion in assets.[3] In 2020, Forbes named U.S. Eagle a Best-in-State Credit Union.[4]
History
U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union was founded in 1935 under the name Albuquerque U.S. Employees Federal Credit Union.[1] Initially, Albuquerque U.S. Employees Federal Credit Union served federal employees in New Mexico.[1] In 1992, they began working with New Mexico residents in all other occupational fields when their name changed to U.S. New Mexico Federal Credit Union.[1]
In March 2015, U.S. New Mexico Federal Credit Union announced their name would be changing to U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union.[5] Earlier that year, U.S. Eagle merged with New Mexico Correctional Employees Federal Credit Union.[6] In December 2015, U.S. Eagle acquired the signage rights for Albuquerque Plaza.[7]
